I’ve been a traveller since my grandmother invited me to Eastern Island when I was 15. After all these years and with different motivations, I’ve had the opportunity to travel to over 20 countries, including my own fantastic country! I’m in love with Chile, and although I’m a journalist, I decided to change my professional career and work in tourism since 2002. Looking backwards, I’m totally convinced this was a great choice. We love what we do and that is why every time we get a customized private tour request, my team and I make the greatest effort on thinking: what would be the best experience that you could possibly get at the chosen destination? We know there is little knowledge on Chile abroad and getting here is a great adventure already, especially after so many hours of flights from wherever you come from… but crossing the Andes to see our hidden beauties with your own eyes is totally rewarding… Chile is much more than Patagonia, Eastern Island and the Atacama Desert.

I was born in Santiago, Chile, in 1968 and I was passionate about nature since I was a child. I’ve been in the tourism industry since I graduated from the Tourism School in 1991. At that time, I decided to move to San Pedro de Atacama, when tourism was just starting in the region at early 90’s. Year after year, I’ve explored the Atacama Desert and the Highlands in depth, gaining more experience as an independent tour guide both for individual travellers and groups with special interests. In 1997 I decided to move to Iquique, one of the best places for operations in the Atacama Desert. In 2002, I took a step forward and founded this independent Tour Operator with Marcela Piddo, my wife and partner. Since then, we have been working with the main inbound tourism agencies in Chile, which has resulted in managing a great variety of destinations and supporting operations with vast experience developed in field. In 2003, we moved our head office from Iquique to Viña del Mar, near Santiago but far enough from the crowds in the capital city. So here we are now, working in so many different destinations and with different people who choose unique travel experiences instead of simple tours.
